In addition, due to the enormous importance that is being acquired in the automotive companies, the development of the electric car in the face of an increasingly immediate future, and derived from the scarcity of fossil fuels and the increase of collective consciousness in terms of pollution and environmental issues, special attention is paid to all the possibilities, derived from the use of the vehicle, of energy saving.
And in that line, the fact of not losing energy in functions that do not directly affect the movement of the vehicle is a critical point, since one of the great fields of current research in the field of electric cars is capacity, storage and loading / unloading of its batteries, with the aim of guaranteeing the maximum possible autonomy. One of these functions in which it is advisable not to waste energy is the cooling of the interior of the vehicle in order to increase the comfort of the user, after having been parked and affected by the solar rays, if it can be replaced by other methods.
The proposed solution is based on an external, portable, foldable, small-sized parasol for sun protection of cars and other vehicles. It can get to lower the temperature around 25-30 degrees Celsius of the interior of the vehicle by awning effect. It is intended to solve the problem of internal overheating of the vehicle when we expose it to the sun for several hours.
The technical problem that arises is how to materialize a structure with low costs and easy assembly that allows us to use it as an external parasol of vehicles. The main body of the parasol, main canvas, will preferably be oval in shape, standard measures to cover the entire central length and width of the vehicle, it will be waterproof fabric, canvas type, on both sides and in all its perimeter incorporates a wire with memory for easy folding and unfolding by twisting its own structure thanks to the characteristics of the wire with memory. Most of the umbrellas on the market for the windscreen are devices that have not been developed by the manufacturer of the vehicle, and do not follow the aesthetic line of the interior of the passenger compartment. In addition, they are standard devices and serve several vehicle models simultaneously, which means that they do not adapt completely to the surface they have to cover. They are usually attached to the windscreen with rubber or suction cups, but the heat action of the incident rays often causes their detachment and the loss of the function they have to fulfill.
Also an option that is increasingly being used to counteract the effects of the Sun on the vehicle is the installation of darkened glasses and parasol visors as standard, which help to reduce the effect of solar radiation inside, especially during the course of driving. In addition, on some models are optional electric glass roofs and dark glass, which are also focused on reducing the effect of radiation during the course of driving. The cost is still high to apply in mid-range vehicles and with a large glazed area.
